Hi, y’all –

I have some exciting news to share, and I hope that you all are as excited as I am.  I have been working on moving the current “cancer” blogs to my new blog site titled “Pinkisnotmykolor” which can be found here.  I’ve heard from a lot of you how much you’ve enjoyed my blog and following my journey and more importantly how much you have learned along the way.  (Trust me, I have learned so much too!)  Therefore, I’ve decided that maybe my voice should not be limited to just speaking about the cancer journey I’m on, but maybe some other taboo topics such as mental health challenges, post-traumatic stress issues, and more.  My prayers are to give a voice and some insight into some of the topics that our society would like to sweep under the carpet instead of talking about. 

There is a place on the new blog site where you can sign up for updates when I post.  I hope that you will consider following me there.  If you are currently signed up on my Caring Bridge page, you will continue to receive updates when I post anything new.  My plan is to post any “cancer journey” updates to both sites, but the new site will have additional content that is not on the Caring Bridge site.  The difference between the two sites is that my Caring Bridge site will be used exclusively for updates on my health, treatment(s), next steps, etc.  The www.pinkisnotmykolor.com site will be used for my health updates AND other random blogs, thoughts, recipes, travel, etc., basically anything I want to chat about or share with all of you and others.

My thoughts are this:  I have a lot to say (you can stop laughing now) and I wanted/needed another avenue to express other thoughts outside of my health challenges because believe it or not, there is life beyond health challenges.  Either way, whatever avenue you chose to receive your updates, if you sign up you will be notified when I post anything new. 

I will say this – I truly, truly hope you will consider following me on my new blog site because I am so excited to start this journey and would love to have you join me along the way, however, on that same note, I would like to say, please be patient with me.  Currently, it’s a bit of a work in progress and I am diligently working through learning different setups within the site, making changes when something doesn’t flow right, working on a logo, and anything else that I see needs changing to make your experience better.
