Jax, is so not stupid and has situated himself directly I front of the heater to stay warm. He’s so smart!!! I just love him!!!
Hi, y’all,
It’s Friday night and we are trying to get dinner on the table, well picked up and brought home so we can eat before I fall asleep. I did want to provide a super quick update and let y’all know how I’m doing today. Here goes:
Taxol #4 today is in the books!!! Do you know what this means? It means that I am 1/3 of the way through this chemo!!! Woot!!! Woot!!! (PRAISES!!!). My WBC counts came up from last week from 3.4 to 3.7 (PRAISES!!!) and my anemia is slightly better since last week from 9.2 to 10.3 (PRAISES!!!!). This still doesn’t mean that I can go out and start licking door handles or anything but it does show that my (amazing) body is starting to bounce back from the AC chemo treatments. If all goes well hopefully we will see this pattern continue as we go through the rest of these treatments. (PRAYERS!!!)
So far, knock on wood, I am not showing any symptoms of neuropathy (continued PRAYERS please) and only some muscle aches, slight joint pain, and hot flashes. I attribute this to the icing and my amazing acupuncturist who is helping me to fight this battle. (Thank you, Yvonne!!!!)
Next update, my ears, still have fluid in them which looks cloudy. After a week’s worth of antibiotics, my oncologist wants me to go see an ENT. They may want to drain the fluid. That sounds fun right??? (PRAYERS and PRAISES – praises for health insurance and great doctors, prayers to find and get into a great ENT quickly – because I need one more doctor’s appointment to add to my schedule. (Sorry Heather – she’s my amazing boss! Thankfully I appreciate her understanding due to her own experience 8 years ago. She’s a SURVIVOR and the best role model for me going through all this.) (PRAISES again – God knows who you need in your life and places then there so they are available when you need them).
And last – my eye. I am still doing the steroid drops every 30 minutes through the weekend with a scheduled recheck on Monday afternoon. I received another steroid today through my port before my chemo is administered. The doctor(s), yes, I said doctors (I’ll go into that in tomorrow’s post), think the steroid I got today will help tremendously in moving my uveitis healing in the right direction. (PRAYERS please).
I think y’all are all caught up. Happy Friday!!! Stay safe that the new COVID variant is running wild like a teenager in the first year of college on their parent’s dollar!!!
Xo,
Tracy

As I sit at this moment on my couch. (See Angie and Scott Reynolds- I love this cap. Especially since it annoys Mano so…the gift that keeps on giving!!!)
