Hey, y’all –

Here’s hoping that everyone is having a great week. I don’t really have anything to report but thought that I would do a quick check-in and tell y’all about something crazy that apparently comes with having cancer. 

Random bruising… did you guys even know that’s a thing???  So last week I looked at my foot and on the top of my left foot between my second and third toe is a shadow of a bruise that’s forming. I was like WT… well you know the next word. 

Anyways, I showed it to my PA when I was there on Friday and she looked at it and said,

PA:  Hmm yes that’s a bruise forming. Does it hurt?”

Me: No. That’s the weird thing. It doesn’t hurt and I have no idea how it happened. I didn’t kick anything or trip over anything. I just looked down and there was this bruise forming on my foot. 

PA:  Well let’s keep an eye on it. You are anemic which could lead to bruising easily. 

Me:  Okay. 

And the next day y’all the picture I’m posting below is what my foot looked like with the bruise. Seriously!

Anyhoo, to the best of my knowledge I didn’t do anything. I didn’t kick anything, bump into anything, etc. I mean I broke my foot before and it involved some alcohol, flip-flops, and line dancing. I knew then what I had done. This the only thing I have done is walk. I guess the public service message is that walking could be dangerous. 

Anyways, hopefully, I gave you all a giggle tonight. I’m attaching some photos from our quick jaunt to Georgetown last night to get ice cream for the boys and my bruised foot. 

I will report in after Taxol sometime this weekend. Keep lifting me up in prayer and again I appreciate you all being part of my village.
