Even the best of plans have obstacles

October 11, 2021

My surgery to get my Port was scheduled for tomorrow, Monday 10/11,  However, all good plans never come without some sort of its obstacles.

Over the weekend I developed what I thought to be a simple cold which has now gone into a sinus infection. I called my oncologist this morning to see if that was going to affect surgery tomorrow and I believe that it will.

Because I need to be in and out of the hospital and in for a test in their office this week they have required that I get a Covid test, flu test, and go see my primary care doctor.

I have done all that this morning. It will take me 24 hours or so to get my Covid test back. My flu test came back negative for flu A and B (praises).

I am now on antibiotics for 10 days asks waiting to hear what the schedule changes are going to be.

Stay tuned folks…. Life is always an ebb and flow.  Just keep swimming with the current.

Updates as of 4:35 pm CT.
